As many of you probably know, Samsung manufactured three Galaxy Xcover series smartphones last year, with the Xcover 4 having attracted particular interest.
Unfortunately, we don't know why the Xcover 4 hasn't been released yet. The smartphone's model number is SM-G390F and it was recently spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance, raising questions about its fate.
The interesting information revealed by the Wi-Fi Alliance is that the smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat, which is not surprising considering Samsung is planning to launch the device very soon. It is worth noting that the Galaxy Xcover 4 has just received Wi-Fi certification, so we should expect its release in the near future.
Given that Samsung has confirmed that it will not be announcing its flagship at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in late February, we can speculate that the South Korean company will use this opportunity to showcase the rest of its new products.
So, one of the possible products that Samsung could unveil at MWC 2017 is the Galaxy Xcover 4, as there are many who are awaiting its official release.
For those of you interested in learning more about this new smartphone, we would like to inform you that a possible source of information regarding the phone's specifications is the FCC (Federal Communication Commission).
It should be emphasized at this point that none of the previous Galaxy Xcovers are classified as high-end smartphones, so we don't expect the upcoming device to break the rule.
The main feature of the Galaxy Xcover is its rugged features, so it is not going to be an expensive phone.
