New update to the iOS Camera App from Microsoft

Microsoft recently released a new updated version of its Pix iOS camera app, adding support for the very advanced feature in terms of iPhone cameras: the dual-lens system that the iPhone 7 Plus has exclusively at the moment.

Microsoft Pix 1.0.22 also comes with some other improvements, such as default white balance levels to enhance the healthy glow of skin tones.

In other words, photos should now look more natural, but Microsoft should also offer the option for users to manually adjust the white balance.

The biggest change in this version is the addition of support for the dual-camera configuration available on the iPhone 7 Plus, with Microsoft explaining that the app can now preserve all the detail it captures from the telephoto lens.

And there is a third improvement in this version that makes it possible to add decorative frames to any image.

For those unfamiliar with Micros0ft Pix, this is a camera app launched by Micr0soft for iOS users that is supposed to help take better pictures, as well as automatically adjust to increase quality.

"Micros0ft Pix is a bit like having a professional photographer behind your lens, adjusting the settings, selecting the best shots, and enhancing them to make them look better. It's designed to help you take the best photos without the guesswork," Microsoft explains.

The app works on any iPhone running iOS 9.0 or later and is apparently available under a free license from Apple's App Store.
