The torrent website isoHunt appears to have unofficially uploaded KickassTorrents. The website resembles the KAT site that stopped working almost immediately after yesterday's arrest of Artem Vaulin, the founder of the site. However, if you take a closer look, it seems that it is simply a mirror site.
The isoHunt team reported that it hosts the mirror of KAT together with its files from the past year. So you will not find the latest torrents available. Additionally, there is no forum, and no support.
However, the website is definitely functional, but you should not expect new content.
The isoHunt team, supporting Vaulin, posted:
“Today morning the founder of kat.cr was arrested in Poland. It is another attack on the freedom of Internet users' rights worldwide. We believe it is our duty not to stay on the sidelines, but to fight back by supporting our rights. In the world of tactics of terrorist attacks where global companies have been flooded with money, while millions die from disease and hunger, do you really think torrents deserve such attention? Do you really think this struggle is worth the money and resources spent on it? Do you really think this is the real issue we should take care of now? We do not believe it!"
Kat.cr is a website we all know and love, and the world will never be the same without it. That’s why before it comes back we created a mirror of Kat.cr (KickassTorrents) with all the torrents we could find. It’s not perfect, but if you want to save and archive something, now is the time! We don’t know how long it will last, but at least it’s something. We will continue to fight for our freedom and you are welcome to join us! Sign the petition on Change.org and let everyone know that there are many of us who refuse to be silent.”
