Željko Popivoda from the Linux AIO team announced that the Linux AIO Ubuntu project has been updated to the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS release.
What does this mean? You can have all the flavors of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus released on Live DVD in a single ISO image.
Linux AIO Ubuntu 16.04 includes the following flavors: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS, Kubuntu 16.04 LTS, Xubuntu 16.04 LTS, Lubuntu 16.04 LTS, and of course Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 LTS.
With the release of the new Linux AIO Ubuntu 16.04 you are able to create a single USB stick or DVD containing all flavors of Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus, either for installation, or simply to run the operating system live from the storage medium.
Linux AIO Ubuntu 16.04 Live ISOs are now available for download directly from the Linux AIO website, or via torrent. There are 3 different ISOs available, 64-bit, 32-bit, and a combination of the two.
However, the Linux AIO team reports that due to the size limitation imposed by the SourceForge website, where the ISOs are hosted, the Linux AIO Ubuntu 16.04 images have been split into two files, compressed with the 7z compression algorithm.
So, to get some of the images you will need to download both parts of the file. You unzip the first one and the second one follows.
You can then burn the ISO image to a USB flash drive of 8 GB or larger capacity, or to a dual-layer DVD.
