ESET: warns about Facebook scam that has gone viral

ESET researchers have identified a scam campaign on Facebook that steals payment card details from social media users .  

Instead of buying luxury sunglasses at a 90% discount, consumers are likely to end up victims of a payment card scam.Facebook scam

including , Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Chile , China , France , Spain Kingdom, Facebook users are facing a wave of throughcompromised Facebook ads spread accounts which ,cybercriminals have taken control of  using malware and tactics socialengineering spam.United

Without consent , they post photos advertising a big discount on Ray-Ban sunglasses. When victims try to buy them from fakee -shops, they face various risks.

In addition to losing a few dollars, payment card details fall into the hands of the cybercriminals behind the campaign , as this data travels across the Internet without encryption . So , anyone can misuse it to steal money.
