The MS-DOS viruses that lived on computers in the 90s are being brought back to life in the Archive.org online museum.
The Malware Collection will present you, in your browser, viruses that attacked MS-DOS in the 1990s.
Many of them were incredibly destructive, but the mentality was different. They would display impressive messages or play music as they slowly destroyed your computer.
If you're thinking of visiting the Museum, fear not, the destructive parts of the malware have been removed, and it's quite interesting to see how viruses of the past were created and what they did to computers, beyond destruction.
It should be mentioned that back then there was no antivirus software, so if you got a virus you would have to install MS-DOS from scratch.
