Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced its new memory card – the microSD PRO Plus 128GB. Based on Samsung’s advanced MLC NAND flash solution, the 128GB memory card sets a powerful new standard in multimedia memory solutions, delivering the highest speed and largest capacity available to date.
The new card is aimed at the ever-growing consumer base that uses action cameras, drones, premium smartphones and DSLRs with 4K recording and playback capabilities.
With the introduction of the new 128GB microSD memory card, Samsung provides consumers with the highest level of memory card solutions, enabling seamless recording of large files, high-resolution videos and photos, as well as multimedia content for use with today's mobile devices.

The PRO Plus 128GB microSD memory card is the newest addition to the Samsung PRO Plus series, which was initially released in 32GB and 64GB capacities in May 2015. The 128GB microSD features the highest quality MLC NAND flash memory and is rated UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3) and Speed Class 10, offering the highest read and write speeds with speeds reaching up to 95MB/s and 90MB/s, respectively.
The new microSD PRO Plus 128GB memory card is ideal for use in high-end smartphones and tablets, as it meets the security, capacity, performance, and environmental requirements associated with new consumer audio and video products, especially with regard to action cameras and drones.
The new memory card features the ability to manage, store and transfer professional photos, as well as record and play 4K UHD video. It can record up to 3 hours and 50 minutes of 4K UHD video or 16 hours and 20 minutes of Full HD video on action cameras without the need to change or replace the memory card. 
Additionally, the microSD PRO Plus 128GB memory card can store up to 10,940 photos or 30,670 MP3 songs based on estimated settings and configurations.
The microSD PRO Plus 128GB is designed to be compatible with any device that has a microSD slot. It also features Samsung's newly upgraded 4-proof features, making it waterproof (IEC 60529, IPX7), temperature-proof, X-ray-proof, and magnetism-proof. It comes with a 10-year warranty, and is guaranteed to operate in temperatures from -25°C to 85°C (-13°F to 185°F). Data stored on the card is X-ray-proof and can withstand up to 15,000 gauss (units of magnetic induction), which is equivalent to a high-field MRI scanner.
