Google today officially unveiled its new gadgets. The new Nexus devices are here. Google has unveiled the Nexus 5X and 6P.
The Nexus 6P comes with a 64-bit processor, USB Type-C, a 12.3 MP camera, and one at 8 MP for self-portraits, and a fingerprint sensor that the company calls "Nexus Imprint." Its display is at 5.7 inches. The camera uses laser detection technology for daytime and low-light autofocus, and can shoot 4K video.
The device will be released with the new Android Marshmallow and will have new and improved notifications. The company said the number of pre-loaded apps has been reduced.
For those of you who don't want such a huge screen, the new Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch one.
The features of the device are similar to those of the 6P. Both phones will carry a "Android Sensor Hub", which will be able to detect ambient lighting, gestures and movement.
This technology is designed to help improve battery life, as Google says there will be up to a 30% more performance especially when the screen is off.
Both phones are available for pre-order from today on the Play Store in the US, UK, Ireland and Japan. The Nexus 5X starts at $379 and the 6P at $499, and according to the company, it will be completely unlocked starting in October.
