Windows Phone with Android! Microsoft's change

How would you feel if there were Windows Phones with Android? When Satya Nadella replaced Steve Ballmer at the helm of Microsoft in 2014, the company entered a reorganization process.

Nadella wanted a new Microsoft that embraces and supports all of its customers' voices. The new CEO focused more on Windows and the Cloud, in an effort to focus on products that generate more revenue for the company.windows phone android 1 Windows Phone

After laying off 18,000 people working on Nokia devices and services, and reorganizing the company to operate holistically as “One Microsoft,” Nadella is preparing for a new series of changes.

“Hard changes,” he explained in a letter he sent to company employees last week.

But before we move on to the upcoming changes, let us mention that for now they are more of rumors and that Microsoft does not want to comment on them.

There will be no more Windows Phone?

Recent information coming from people inside the company suggests that Microsoft could abandon Windows Phone entirely, something some had predicted after Nadella's email to employees last week.

The Windows Phone was one of the products that was not mentioned at all in the Microsoft CEO's e-mail, and many assumed it was not accidental, but because the mobile operating system was not part of the company's future plans.

“Google Play devices in exchange for Maps on Windows 10”

So now, according to new rumors, Redmond could join forces with Google for some kind of collaboration we've never seen before (Windows Phone with Android!). Microsoft has stated that it is planning "devices with Google Play," which makes us believe that Redmond could replace its Windows Phone operating system with Android.

Google, in turn, could make its products available, such as Maps and Gmail, on Windows 10, and thereby provide desktop users access to its core services.

Interest in AMD's acquisition

Also, recent rumors have been heard that Microsoft wants to plan the acquisition of AMD, as it appears to be seeking an expansion in the hardware industry.

Basically, rumors have Microsoft trying to make its own products like the Microsoft Surface in the near future. The reason?
Because the products currently on the market weren't exactly what the company envisioned, it decided to buy a company that specializes in hardware manufacturing and expand into that side of the market.

The acquisition of AMD will not be a financial problem for Microsoft, as Redmond has operating cash flow of $95.3 billion in cash, while AMD costs about $1.81 billion.

“Making more hardware will make Microsoft a direct competitor to its partners”

However, subsequently, there is also the issue of hardware investments. With Surface tablets, Microsoft became a direct competitor to its partners and began competing for the same customers as the companies that use Windows on their devices.

So there is no doubt that Nadella will have to plan this strategy down to the smallest detail.

Overall, Microsoft's transformation continues as the new Microsoft aims to become a better Microsoft. The next 12 months will be crucial to that strategy, so it remains to be seen whether Redmond is truly ready to embark on such a difficult new mission.
