Microsoft has just announced a new partnership with NASCAR's Hendrick Motorsport. We've been talking a lot about Microsoft's new aggressive advertising policy lately.
Surely all of you, or at least those of you who follow technology news, have noticed how the company is marketing the upcoming Windows 10. Successive announcements, for each new feature, or even for the color of the icons.
Incomprehensible press releases that make people search and wonder. The last example was with the announcement about the free release, the non-free release, and the free release again of the upcoming software.
Today the company announced a new partnership that will help market the new product.
Microsoft and NASCAR have already signed a collaboration agreement since 2014 for the Surface tablet and for an application that allows the company to collect data from the cars participating in the three NASCAR series.
So today's deal is an extension of the original one and was made to cover the launch of Windows 10.
Microsoft announced that the Windows 10 logo will appear on Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s car at the Sonoma races on June 28 and the Pocono races on August 2. The Windows 10 logos will appear on the hood and rear of the car, while the Microsoft logo will appear on both sides of the car.
NASCAR, in turn, will use Windows 10 and Azure to analyze tire wear, fuel consumption, and car settings.
