Google Street View collects everything. Recently it has covered earthquakes in Japan, and Loch Ness, the landscapes of Greenland and the Amazon rainforest.
Today, Street View added another fascinating area to the landscapes it displays: one of the most active volcanoes in the world, the Italian volcano Etna.
So starting today, those searching for the volcano on Google Maps or Google Earth will now be able to see the Silvestri crater , located 2,000 meters above sea level, in 360-degree images.
While the once-famous cars of Google's Street View have become a familiar sight on streets and avenues worldwide, the Trekker on the company's employee's back is ubiquitous in some of the strangest and most beautiful places.
Apple is today in the early stages of establishing its own road view, with its cars beginning to circulate in various cities around the world.
However, the company still has a long way to go to cover the difference.
