A regular procedure case was filed by the Hellenic Police's Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate against a 28-year-old Greek national for a case of personal data breach, illegal access to computer systems and extortion.
The investigation into the case began after a domestic complaint was filed against the 28-year-old, for violation of her personal data and extortion.
According to the complaint, the 28-year-old, after illegally gaining access to digital files containing sensitive personal data of both the victim and her ex-partner, then forwarded these files to the aforementioned individuals' emails, threatening them that she would make them public.
