It is known that Windows 10 will be distributed as a free upgrade to computers running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 during the first year of their release. As it appears, Microsoft has taken it very seriously, and is already testing ways to distribute the update.
The company recently released an update codenamed KB3035583, which, according to its description, “gives additional capabilities to Windows Update notifications when new updates are available to the user.”
The website myce.com discovered more information in the files of this update and as reported, KB3035583 is nothing more than a Windows 10 downloader.
Thus the KB3035583 update, once installed on your computer, checks the version of your operating system and looks for the availability of Windows 10, determining in this way whether you can receive the update or not.
If your system is compatible, it will notify you.
With the KB3035583 update, when Windows 10, Windows 7 and 8.1 users should see a notification to upgrade to the new operating system. Once someone clicks on this notification, Windows 10 will begin downloading to the computer and the installation will begin automatically, without user intervention.
The company states:
[signoff icon=”quote-circled”]The updated version allows additional capabilities for Windows Update notifications on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1[/signoff]
The system is ideal for Windows users who do not know how to install the new OS manually, from an ISO.
It appears that Microsoft, with Windows 10, is trying to win back the favor of a disappointed audience from previous releases. So far everything indicates it is on the right track…
