Microsoft has quietly made a change to the distribution of Windows 7 ISOs for users who want to perform a clean install as the files are no longer available through the company's official download provider Digital River.
The company, with a new service called Microsoft Software Recovery center, provides information about the download you want to make, while also checking whether the license you have is valid or not.
Microsoft , we'll see a similar system for all of the company's operating systems and software soon.
How to download the Windows 7 ISOs
Currently, the company's page only allows the download of Windows 7, but this will likely change in the coming months as Microsoft continues to develop the project.
To download Windows 7, all you need to do is enter the product key number on the company's official website, select the language you want, and press the “Verify Product Key” button.
As Lifehacker reports, Microsoft will automatically check your key, and if everything is in order, it will allow you to download the ISO you selected. If it does not allow you to download, the activation key you used is probably not legal (pirated). If you believe that the system has made a mistake, you can contact the company at the following numbers:
Customer service and support (Customer Service and Support): 801 500 3000 (local call charge) or +30 211 1206 500 (call from mobile phone)
You can download your ISO from here.
