You all know you can't believe everything you read online. But with the new Grasswire, you can control the information you see through "news" channels.
Austen Allred's new project allows news junkies to confirm and deny breaking news posts. The "newsroom is controlled by everyone in real time" and divides posts into popular news topics, such as the Malaysia Airlines crash in Ukraine and the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.
Once you've chosen a topic, you can then upvote or downvote posts on Reddit to upload or download them to the page. If you see something that's wrong, you can refute it by posting a URL to a source that refutes the information. You can do the same to verify a post.
Until now, users could check the credibility of a news story through Google's reverse image search. With the new service that officially launched about a month ago, we're given another tool for verifying news.
