The next version of Microsoft's operating system (Windows) has been revealed in two leaked screenshots. Published by tech blog Myce, they reveal something new in the next version of Windows – (we know it will be known as Threshold or Windows 9 according to rumors). The rumors so far, assuming the photos are true, have been that the Start Menu will come with Microsoft's new operating system, namely Windows 9, and not in an update to Windows 8.1. One screenshot depicts the return of the Start menu, which Microsoft itself has already revealed. One of the two photos also shows the build of the operating system, which it appears is an upgrade from Windows 8.1.

The Start menu in the screenshot appears in its new form, featuring two columns with shortcuts to desktop apps on the left and settings, live tiles, and other Metro apps on the right. The panel appears to mimic the Start menu that Microsoft unveiled in April.
The second screenshot posted by Myce shows the Windows Store app running in a resizable window on the desktop. In the latest version of Windows 8.1, you can run Windows apps from the desktop, but they appear in full-screen mode.
The Myce post doesn't say how they discovered the screenshots. The site says it believes the images are real, but either way, the ISOs of the new operating system haven't been released yet.
