has been arrested for hackinginto his school. Jose Bautista, a senior at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School in Miami-Dade, Florida, was arrested after he managed to gain access to his school's databases and changed his grades and other information.
According to CBS, the young hacker not only changed his grades, but also the grades of four other classmates. Bautista was reported to police by the school principal, who also provided a written confession he obtained from the student.
The teenager has been charged with four counts related to intellectual property crimes.
The judge has already ordered him under house arrest and to ensure this, he has been fitted with a GPS device.
What is still unclear is how Bautista used the method to change the grades. However, based on previous incidents, authorities suspect the use of a keylogger or malware that gave him access to the database administrator's password. Of course, there is always the possibility that he discovered a vulnerability in the system that allowed him to gain unauthorized access to the website.
