Where does your country rank when it comes to malware infection rates? A cool, but "scary" interactive map from Kaspersky Lab has the answers.
Information security company Kasperksy Lab has released an interactive real-time map of online malware threats.
You can pan around the 3D world using your mouse and zoom with the scroll wheel. Click on a country and you’ll see the number and type of threats detected there as of 12am GMT, and its position on the list of “most infected countries.” The US came in at No. 3 at the time of writing, with Russia and India in first and second place, respectively. The rankings, however, change depending on the time of day.
Different types of threats monitored by Kaspersky Antivirus and Internet Security Multi Device software are shown around the map with colored laser threats. The viruses found in e‑mail appear in orange and yellow represents malicious executable files.
