Six out of ten tablets sold in 2013 run Android software

Android software is conquering the global tablet computer market.

According to research by Gartner, sales of computers and tablets running Android software in 2013 recorded a 68% increase compared to last year.

Thus, now, 62% of the global tablet market "runs" with Android.

In total, 195.4 million tablets were sold worldwide last year.

The Android software, which is mainly used in computers and tablets from the South Korean company Samsung, "counted" 121 million device sales.

Apple's iOS software also recorded growth, with 70.4 million devices running it sold worldwide in 2013.
