A few hours ago, Samsung sent a teaser for "Unpacked 5" to press representatives, stating that the event will take place on February 24 in Barcelona, as part of the Mobile World Congress exhibition .
The Korean company organizes an “Unpacked” every time it is going to unveil a new “flagship”. So, given that it has already presented several new tablets, and it has not been long since the launch of the Galaxy Note 3, the most likely scenario is that in Barcelona it will present the Galaxy S5, its top smartphone for 2014.
This scenario is also on the same wavelength as Lee Young Hee's interview with Bloomberg, a senior executive of Samsung's mobile devices division, who in January had stated that the Galaxy S5 would be released to market no later than April. As Hee noted then, the S5 will have several design differences from its predecessor, with the company placing particular emphasis on the screen and the material of the device's casing.
Based on information that has leaked since January, the Galaxy S5 will indeed have a higher resolution display, 1440 x 2560 pixels . Although Hee had said that the company was looking to integrate an iris scanner into the device, most reports claim that the S5 will ultimately include a fingerprint recognition chip, like Apple 's iPhone 5S .
