According to an announcement by hacker iH8sn0w on Twitter, Apple has fixed the exploits used to jailbreak evasi0n7 with the release of iOS 7.1 Beta 4 .
A while back, news broke that evad3rs – the team behind evasi0n – had leaked some exploits that they could use to create a jailbreak for iOS 7.1. It remains to be seen whether this is true or not.
The demand for jailbreaking is certainly lower than it was two years ago, when Apple had very few customization options for its operating system. Things have evolved since then, but jailbreaking is still used because of the apps and services that Apple doesn't allow in its App Store.
