Geary is a lightweight, free, open source email client designed for managing emails on GNOME desktops by the Yorba software team, and is now in version 0.4.
The software is developed by Yorba, the same team responsible for Shotwell (a photo manager that is the default application in major Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora).
The latest version of Geary includes full-text search per account, automatic saving to drafts, a better user interface, folder sorting of unread emails, experimental support for Outlook.com, better handling of “show external images”, better handling of attachments, malicious link checker, hundreds of bug fixes and minor improvements.
You can download the Geary 0.4 package from the Yorba PPA.
According to its developer, Ubuntu users can also find a version for Ringtail (13.04) and quantal Quetzal (12.10)
