Microsoft has just released a new preview version of its Security Essentials, giving users the chance to try out some new features before the final version is released.
Since it is a preview version, it could have bugs, which you can of course report to Microsoft.
" Microsoft Security Essentials Prerelease will automatically install any new updates to Microsoft Security Essentials through Microsoft Updates. To help us improve the software, you should send us any bug reports," the company said.
Microsoft Security Essentials only works on Windows 7, Windows Vista , and Windows XP, since Windows 8 already comes with Windows Defender antivirus pre-installed.
Download the Prerelease version of the application.
