Open Access in Greece, October 16
This section examines the latest trends and developments in Open Access in Greece. It focuses on the work and related initiatives of organizations from Greece on open public data and their applications, open government, open education and open research. This section accepts abstracts for presentations and/or posters that will be submitted for evaluation. The final conference of the European MedOANet project, 17-18 October
The second section of the conference (17-18 October) includes the final conference of the European project MedOANet (www.medoanet.eu). The project is coordinated by the National Documentation Centre and promotes the implementation of national Open Access policies among the Mediterranean countries. The final MedOANet conference will present the results of the project, integrating them into the broader European framework of Open Access policies and will serve as a platform for discussing the progress of the implementation of Open Access policies in Europe. In particular, the MedOANet conference will focus on good and effective practices regarding the implementation of Open Access policies by research funding and conducting bodies in Europe and elsewhere in the world, as well as on the contribution of Open Access to the European Research Area.
The program of the International Conference on Open Access @ EKT will include presentations by renowned figures in the field of research and Open Access. The conference program, including speakers, will be available by the end of July 2013.
