According to a survey by JD Power and Associates, the iPad is the top choice for consumers for the second year in a row. Respondents to the survey were already tablet users but had to have owned their tablet for a year or less. Each user's satisfaction was measured using five factors: performance, ease of use, design, features and price.
The survey showed that 51% of users share their tablet with at least one other person, while their satisfaction was significantly higher than that of those who did not share it with anyone, resulting in 41% of the former wanting to buy a tablet from the same company again, while the corresponding percentage for those who do not share it was 28%.
Furthermore, 20% of total respondents use their tablet purely for work, while only 31% of employers contribute to how much an employee will need to purchase a tablet for work.
And finally, the survey showed that Apple with the iPad comes first in overall satisfaction, with 836 points, while it did well in all four factors: Performance, ease of use, design and features. Second comes Amazon with 829 points, which did very well in the price factor.
