Siri may not have achieved the glory that Apple expected it to with the release of the iPhone 4S, but it's still a great piece of software, and Apple's rivals are doing everything they can to copy it.
There have already been several rumors circulating this month that want Amazon to create its own smartphone, but add one more.
According to TechCrunch, all advisors at Evi Technologies Ltd, the company behind the Evi app, have been replaced with Amazon representatives, the company's loans have been repaid, and the new Secretarial Company for Evi Technologies Ltd is Amazon's Mitre Secretaries Ltd.
Evi, like Siri, translates users' natural language and provides answers based on their questions, while also having the ability to "learn" from the user to bring better results in the future. It was created in England and is available for both iPhone and Android.
Both Amazon and Evi declined to comment on the acquisition. Amazon is rumored to be releasing its own smartphone by the end of the year, so the Evi acquisition is a no-brainer.
