Hacker managed to run Windows 95 on a Windows RT device

A security expert has already managed to bypass Microsoft's restrictions and find a way to run unsigned desktop applications on Windows RT. After that, the jailbreak community has been working feverishly to discover new ways to exploit this vulnerability.

An XDA Forums user named Netham45 has managed to port several applications to Windows RT, such as PuTTy, TightVNC, and BOCHS, with which he was able to create a virtual copy of Windows 95.

As you can see, the Forum has been in chaos with the new publication.

Although Microsoft says that only the most experienced users will attempt to jailbreak their device, as the method discovered is very complicated, we believe that hackers will soon manage to create an application that will make jailbreaking accessible to the general public. Microsoft, of course, after initially downplaying the risk of an upcoming jailbreak, later admitted that it will release a security update at some point that will close the gap discovered by the hackers.

The familiar cat and mouse game has begun for Microsoft, just like it does with Apple and its iOS devices. Hackers will discover security holes and Microsoft will try to keep the Windows Store market monopolized with updates.
