Do you remember when USB flash drives were first released? Great joy, no more endless CD or DVD recordings to transfer files! We also remember very well the capacity of the first USBs, one giga was a big deal! But those years have passed, we live in 2013 and Kingston came to remind us of it. So the world's first USB 3.0 flash drive with a capacity of 1TB was released.
The DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0, as it's called, has read/write speeds of up to 240MB per second and 160MB per second respectively, offering a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 certification.
The new USB will be available in 512GB capacity now, while the 1TB version is expected to hit the market in Q1 2013.
The price for the 512GB will be (hold on) $1,750 and the 1TB version will certainly be much more expensive, reports Mashable.
For less demanding users, Kingston has also launched smaller USB drives, with capacities of 32GB and 64GB and read/write speeds of 150MB/s and 70MB/s.
