Google released the stable version of its latest operating system a while ago, and rumors about the upcoming version have already surfaced.
The latest information suggests that Android 7.0 Nougat could get a quick reply feature from the lock screen. XDA Developers reported that such a feature could be available soon. One of the most exciting features in Android Nougat is quick reply, a tool that allows users to reply to notifications in a popup, without having to open or use another app. The feature appeared in the Android Nougat Developer Preview and seems to have improved as you don't need to unlock the device or enter your password to reply to a message. But Google removed the feature later in other Developer Previews, which means it is not available on smartphones running the fifth Developer Preview or the stable version of Android 7.0 Nougat.
However, it seems that the Android UX director has stated on Twitter that the team will bring back the feature soon. The feature could also be available in the next Android OS update, possibly Android 7.1 Nougat which is said to be released this fall.
The next Android OS update is also rumored to come with Nexus Launcher and Google Assistant, two of the most exciting features that Google is currently working on. Apart from that, Google has also said that it will bring a customizable navigation bar.
