It's a fact that just days before the expected launch of the iPhone 7, we're seeing more rumors about next year's iPhone model.
The common thread among journalists and leakers who follow Apple is that the iPhone 7 will only have minor upgrades compared to last year's model, while the iPhone coming in 2017 will have a much more revolutionary upgrade.
A new report from Bloomberg echoes this idea, saying it's likely that the 2017 iPhone will undergo a major redesign that will ditch the Home Button and "focus heavily on the display."
We saw the rumor back in June about the Home Button being replaced with a touch-sensitive button, and Bloomberg itself confirmed it in its August report. But that was for the iPhone 7. The new report claims that next year's iPhone will not have a Home Button at all.
A recent report also says that next year's iPhone will have a curved display, possibly similar to that of Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note7.
Apple hasn't confirmed any of this—not even the launch date (reportedly September 7) for the iPhone 7 has been officially confirmed yet. It's hard to say whether the rumors of a completely redesigned iPhone in 2017 are real or just a reaction to the lack of (interesting) news about the iPhone 7, whose main features are likely to be the absence of a headphone jack, an upgraded processor, more RAM and storage, and a dual rear camera.
