Dear readers and friends,
The 6th Infocom Security was completed with great success and was once again the leading event for Information Security in Greece, making a difference once again!
It is with great emotion and joy that we inform you about the end of the first Ethihak Contest that took place as part of the 6th Infocom Security 2016!
The turnout of participants was large, both those who took part within our facilities and those who competed outside them. The challenge that the participants were asked to face was demanding only in the Social Engineering part, which was what made it difficult for a large part of the participants.
Despite this, two young, capable guys managed to reach their goal and send us a complete report – proof of concept of the process they followed and of course be crowned the winners of the first Ethihak Contest, winning a check for €1000 from the contest's major sponsor, Odyssey Cyber Security, but even a job from the sponsoring company!
Our winners are:
Haris Mylonas aka rkmylo and
Yannis Zacharioudakis aka Mayia.
However, we also have a second winner: Mr. Yiannis Ioannides aka cylarcy who participated outside the conference premises, managed to bypass the active countermeasures that we had set as an extra difficulty for those who participated outside the conference premises, but without being able to gain further access to the system. For this reason, we are awarding him the second statuette, which is waiting to be delivered to him. We warmly thank all the participants who took part, no matter where they arrived, and all our friends who helped in the successful conduct of this competition.
Of course, more competitions will follow where you will all have the opportunity to participate!
