If you need a powerful desktop computer without the need to wire your system, then this is the perfect laptop for you!
Powerful laptops are hard to come by, probably because manufacturers are paying more attention to making them as thin as possible. While they have successfully achieved their goal of making laptops as sleek as possible, there are other manufacturers who are still trying to pack the best possible firepower into their machines. Eurocom is a well-known manufacturer, but it was able to increase its reputation by introducing the world's first notebook to feature a next-gen GPU.
The Sky X9W is a powerful portable computer from Eurocom, equipped with an i7-6700K core. The processor runs at a preset speed of 4.0GHz, and has a maximum boost frequency of 4.2GHz. Note that this is a desktop processor, in the sense that the volume of the laptop automatically increases, in order to dissipate hot air as efficiently as possible. As we stated, this is the first laptop that has a next-generation GPU, as inside the chassis of the portable computer you will find an NVIDIA Quadro M5000M, which indicates that if you end up purchasing this laptop, it should not be used for gaming, but for other purposes.
However, the manufacturer has other plans for gamers, because you can also opt for a GTX980 GeForce (remember, not the portable version, but the desktop version), which gives you the upper hand in the latest games. In addition, the screen size of the laptop is 17.3 inches, so you will have a very large area to work on, and what is even more exciting is that you can choose a resolution of 1080p or 2160p.
There are at least three fans inside the machine, and rightfully so, since we obviously can't expect a single fan to remove all the heat generated by the GPU and CPU combined. As for the connectivity ports, there's a single USB-C port, a pair of display ports capable of driving four displays, along with an HDMI output, five USB 3.0 ports, two RJ45s, and an 802.11ac Wi-Fi adapter. As for the price, due to these impressive specifications, it means you'll need to have an equally impressive and large wallet, as prices start at $2,930 and go all the way up to $4,000!
