The world's most notorious financial hacking operation was disrupted by Russian authorities last November when they raided offices linked to a Moscow-based film production company called 25th Floor. According to Russian authorities, 25th Floor was allegedly involved in distributing the notorious password-stealing malware commonly known as the Dyre Banking Trojan.

This malware has cost businesses around the world hundreds of millions of dollars..
The Dyre banking Trojan was distributed via spam campaigns and was responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in losses to banking and financial institutions, including Bank of America Corp, PayPal, and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

DYRE, also known as Dyreza, first appeared in July 2014 and was updated to target Windows 10 and the new Edge browser. However, Dyre has not been used again since November of last year, according to cybersecurity experts, who said the raid was Russia's largest effort to crack down on cybercrime to date.
It is still not known whether Russian authorities arrested anyone during their raid.
However, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters that the investigation into Dyre was aided by security firm Kaspersky Lab, which may reveal details about the case at its annual conference for security experts.
