X-Files revealed: CIA releases top-secret UFO reports online
The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has decided to release hundreds of X-Files, including UFO-related documents, on its website. It's the moment UFO enthusiasts around the world have been waiting for. The CIA has declassified hundreds of documents detailing the agency's UFO investigations to make things easier for Mulder and Scully.
According to the website , it has released X-Files primarily from the late 1940s and '50s, which it held in its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) UFO collection.
The CIA has taken to Twitter to encourage the public to "take a look" at the X-Files. In the past, the agency has been accused by conspiracy theorists of trying to hide evidence of extraterrestrial life from the general public. For some reason, the agency decided to reveal photos and documents in PDF files that had never been released before.
Among the CIA X-Files is the documented testimony of a New Jersey resident, George Stock. On July 29, 1952, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Stock and his friend John H. Riely spotted a strange aircraft approaching from the sky in Passaic. The story goes that Mr. Stock ran inside to grab his camera and took five photographs of the UFO. He claimed it hovered about 200 feet above the ground before flying away at high speed . The disc was described as solid and metallic with a transparent, domed top. It was reported to be blue-gray in color, about thirty feet across, and made no noise.
According to theparanormalguide.com, which documents past UFO sightings, the photos did not receive much attention at the time.
The blog said: “Considering that these images were clear evidence of a UFO, they received so little attention for a good reason – the various control agencies asked the media and police to stop taking reports of UFO events as they were coming in at such a fast pace that they could not handle them – UFO news literally flooded the channels, as in 1952 there was a huge wave of viewings.”
The X-Files revealed that the CIA was not only interested in UFO sightings in the US but also in England, Spain, North Africa and Germany. Another example is a mysterious photograph taken over Sheffield in March 1962 showing what appears to be a fleet of dark flying saucers. However, the grainy black and white photo has since been dismissed as a hoax.
The files revealed by the CIA do not provide any strong conclusion about the existence of UFOs and extraterrestrial life. When it comes to UFO conspiracies, the CIA is not the only federal agency that has come under attack. Many UFO/alien conspiracy theories have been circulating, and NASA has been accused of repeatedly covering up evidence of extraterrestrial life related to its Mars missions.
In one of the photos taken by NASA's Mars rover in October 2015, UFO spotter and YouTube user Paranormal Crucible spotted what looked like the remains of a Buddha statue.
In November 2015, Paranormal Crucible also found a drone on Mars using one of the photos sent by NASA. This time, the conspiracy theory coincided with the world premiere of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
