Ukraine accuses Russia of hacker attacks on its systems!
The Ukrainian government accuses Russia of organizing hacker attacks against the networks of Boryspil airport.
Cyber security experts of the State Service for Protection of Communications and Information of Ukraine accuse Russian hackers of a new cyber attack against the networks of Boryspil airport.
The representative of the Presidential Administration of the ATO, Andriy Lysenko, explained that the systems at Boryspil airport were infected by the Black Energy malware . If this is confirmed, the presence of the malicious software constitutes another proof of an Information Warfare operation carried out by a nation-state actor against the Ukrainian government. According to the Kyiv government, experts of the State Service of Special Communications detected the attack on the Boryspil airport systems and immediately blocked the intrusion.
The alleged cyber attack is under investigation, but Andriy Lysenko highlighted many similarities with other attacks that recently targeted critical infrastructure of the company Prykarpattiaoblenergo, which were attributed to Russian activity.
