Flying technology is taking your table aloft. A restaurant in Singapore has discovered an original way to serve its customers. Mini drones have taken on the role of waiters, the BBC reports in an article.
The drones have been created by the company Infinium Robotics. The mini unmanned aircraft are capable of carrying plates and glasses weighing up to two kilograms. They fly safely above the heads of customers, as their navigation is done via an infrared ray system.
As for the waiters, instead of running from table to table, they sit and act as remote pilots, ensuring that the drones safely and quickly deliver the dishes to each customer.
