Free laptops, tablets and internet will be provided to beneficiaries of the Social Dividend who are residents of the first eight regions of Greece, where the measure will be implemented on a pilot basis.
The beneficiaries of the Social Dividend, residents of the eight Regions of the country who will participate in the program, will enter a special website with the Taxisnet codes, select the package with the equipment and Internet service they desire and will obtain the coupon without any application.
The program guide analyzes the entire process that beneficiaries of the "Digital Solidarity" action must follow. The coupon will correspond to each beneficiary [beneficiary of the social dividend] and will include a unique number.
The total cost of the voucher is the sum of the cost of all 3 benefits (internet access, equipment, support), each of which will be separately priced. Transferring amounts from one expense category to another will not be permitted.

He will then be able to visit the program's Web Site (which has not yet been announced) and search for Providers that have a store in his area and locate the Offers - "Packages" that interest him.
- The Eligible citizen arrives at the store with their personal coupon that they have printed (or have on their mobile phone) and their police ID.
- The Provider's employee will be able to check the beneficiary's details through the Coupon's MS as well as whether the electronic coupon is active or has been used.
- The Eligible citizen selects Device, Connection and Support/Advisory Update (optional). The store registers the customer's purchase along with all the necessary information (e.g. device Serial Number) in the Action application.
- The Provider will then need to cut out the tax document (Shipping Note - Invoice) from its computer system that will accompany the supply of the package (regarding the equipment).
- The document, in addition to the details of the commission required by law, must also include the beneficiary's unique Coupon Code in a prominent place.
The Coupon Code will be entered on the document through the Provider's computer system before printing or after printing where it will be entered by hand. There will be a possibility of interfacing the Provider's computer system with the application of the action (via web service), so that the correctness of the code entry by the operator of the Provider's computer system can be checked.
* Before completing the procedure, the Beneficiary citizen must sign all necessary documents that will be issued and printed by the Action's information system (e.g. Beneficiary Citizen Product Selection Form, Beneficiary Citizen's Solemn Declaration, etc.) as well as by the Providers/Suppliers (e.g. Telecommunications Contract, Shipping Note-Equipment Invoice, etc.).
* Beneficiary citizens can check on the Web Site of the action, if the Coupon Code exists and that it corresponds to the products (device, connection and support/consulting information) that were purchased. The objectives of the program are to provide equal opportunities for access to Information and Communication Technologies to citizens, while through the action the following is achieved: * Access of citizens, "beneficiaries" of the social dividend (as described in the applicable legislation), to ICT technologies.
* Reducing the digital divide in the 8 Pure Convergence Regions, through citizens' access to the Internet and the use of a tablet, netbook or laptop computer.
* The increase in the use of the internet, e-commerce and the digital services offered by the State by citizens who have difficulty accessing the internet.
* The development of citizens' digital skills through relevant technical support/consulting and information in their area.
Beneficiaries
The citizens of the social dividend who reside in the Convergence Regions which include Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Epirus, Thessaly, Ionian Islands, Western Greece, Peloponnese, North Aegean, Crete. The Beneficiary citizens of the action, to date, amount to approximately 289,000 citizens.
More specifically, Eligible citizens will have the opportunity to:
* obtain or maintain an internet connection for one year by providing a subscription for a broadband internet connection (fixed or mobile)
* To acquire the required basic internet access equipment, namely one (1) tablet computer or a netbook or laptop computer
* To be supported and informed – optionally – on basic elements of using equipment and the internet. Here we should mention that the measure will not be applied throughout the country. This is because the Regions of Attica, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia, Central Greece and Southern Aegean do not participate in the program, since the regional governors of these regions of the country chose not to participate in the program, preferring to allocate the specific funds to other purposes.
Thus, the action of "digital solidarity" according to dikaiologitika/gr will be implemented without the two largest Regions, which will certainly disappoint the beneficiaries of the social dividend, residents of the above Regions, since they will not be granted the electronic equipment. The entire action will be implemented by the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), which will issue the notice to the providers for the establishment of a Provider Register, but will also generally undertake the implementation controls. Also, the special website for the implementation of the program has been undertaken by the Hellenic National Economic and Social Fund.
