British hacker Gary MCKinnon, who was accused of hacking into US government security systems “looking for evidence of UFOs,” now runs an SEO company.
The company is called Small SEO and targets small businesses and individuals who want to improve their rank in Google's search results. McKinnon states that all his clients so far have reached the first page of Google for the main keywords.
The charge for services is relatively low, as McKinnon reports that the cost ranges from £ 40 / $ 68 / € 50 per hour, and overall only five or six hours of work are required for most clients.
Rising to the first page of Google's search results can take up to three months.
McKinnon's past is linked to a series of breaches of federal and military computers, which led to a 10-year legal battle to extradite him to the US. However, the charges against the hacker dropped in October 2012, on the grounds that the hacker was likely to commit suicide, as he suffered from Asperger's syndrome, which is a form of autism.
