BlackShades is a type of malware that allows attackers to gain control of their targets' computers by recording a series of personal information about their owners, while the technology even allows for the recording of keystrokes .
Furthermore, infected computers could even be used in organized DDoS -type cyberattacks .
Among the cooperating bodies are Europol and Eurojust, while the states involved are: Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Britain, Finland, Austria, Estonia, Denmark, Italy, Croatia, USA, Canada, Chile, Switzerland and Moldova.
In the above states, a total of 359 raids by the competent authorities, in which they arrested over 80 people and seized cash, weapons, drugs and over 1,000 data storage devices, as well as mobile phones, computers, routers, etc.
