Google is preparing its second attempt to create a popular TV entertainment platform, following the failed attempt with Google TV three years ago. According to images and documents revealed by the American technology site The Verge, the platform will be called Android TV and is designed in such a way as to be easy and simple.
Regarding the content provided, The Verge reports that Android TV will provide access to several online video clubs (Netflix, Hulu, Play Movies) and music services (Pandora). Through the platform, one will also be able to "run" applications on their TV, by browsing the Android TV online store. The images show shortcuts for YouTube and Hangouts, while, according to The Verge, Google has already approached selected developers to transfer their titles to the platform.
At the same time, Android TV will also be compatible with video games – as is the case with Fire TV, the set top box that Amazon presented a few days ago. Also, like Fire TV, it will recognize voice commands and “learn” the user’s habits to recommend content that suits their preferences.
In documents obtained by The Verge, Google says that Android TV was developed with a core philosophy of being as "friendly" as possible. According to the American company, in no case will it take more than three steps to find the material you are looking for.
