It was October 23rd when Steve Jobs introduced something that could fit thousands of songs in your pocket, the first iPod, and it was released on November 10th, 2001. Back then, everyone used CD players and had to carry dozens of CDs to listen to their favorite tracks, while Steve's proposal with 4GB, the screen, and basic buttons revolutionized the music industry.
The iPod brought Apple a lot of money and helped it rise, since since they fired Steve it couldn't have gone any worse. This was also the one that carried the "i" at the beginning of its name and thanks to it, today we are talking about iPhone, iPad, iMac and more. Of course, the success of the iPod would not have been the same without the most popular online music store, iTunes, where there are thousands of songs for the user to listen to and buy.
Back in the day, the iPod is now just a name. Apple itself doesn't support it much because we now listen to music from our smartphones and other devices. After all, for the price of an iPod nano, touch or classic you buy a smartphone with which you communicate, get information, take photos and… listen to music.
