Anonymous leaked over 3,700 documents that they allegedly obtained from the Southeastern European Directorate, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The attack is part of an operation codenamed “OpGoldenDawn.”
The hackers stated: “We all know how bad the situation is today in Greece, alongside the economic chaos the government has allowed the Golden Dawn to sabotage the integrity of the entire country and European principles regarding freedom and morality.”
"Today we are putting a dent in the mockery with a series of leaks to reveal the truth about the Greek government's involvement in espionage with the help of ENISA and OSCE cybercrime units. Those responsible for the arrests of fellow lulz will be punished with Operation OP Payback."
Hacktivists are urging their followers to keep copies of the confidential documents published on cyberguerrilla.org, to ensure they are not removed by the government.
Finally, they stated that more documents will be leaked in the future.
