Those days of hiding your bulky – and admittedly somewhat ugly – Internet router are now a thing of the past.
OnHub, a router from Google that provides Wi-Fi, has partnered with TP-LINK to create a set of three interchangeable covers to allow customization of your home router
To draw more attention to these new covers, OnHub has enlisted artists and designers to create their own alternative cover. The project, which was published this week, is called OnHub Makers.
Some of the designers who participated in the OnHub Makers project include the popular Brooklyn design team, Adam Frezza and Terri Chiao, and award-winning artist Maya Freelon Asante.

In addition to the covers created for OnHub Makers, the company allows customers to design their own covers.
OnHub provides CAD files, 2D outlines, and a set of guidelines for download from the site.
Makers can tag a photo of their creation on social media using #OnHubMakers and, if selected, their creation may be featured in the Maker Gallery online.
Google will also release three limited-edition OnHub designs: Bamboo, black with silver, and white with gold.
According to the OnHub website, the covers were created to help routers blend into users' homes, eliminating the need to hide their devices, which can also weaken the Wi-Fi signal.
These covers will retail for between $29 and $39 and will be available in the Google Store starting today.
