Report claims Apple has many new plans for upcoming iPhone 7 models to be released next year.
Apple is already working on its next-generation iPhones, which sources say could arrive earlier than expected, but a new report claims the company is actually preparing five different models for the upcoming lineup.
Citing anonymous sources, G for Games claims that Apple has created five different prototypes that could help build the iPhone 7, each packed with new technologies compared to existing models.
First of all, one of the models that Apple has already developed features a USB-C port instead of the traditional Lightning connector. This change, however, is rather unlikely, given that Apple is investing in Lightning these days, and rumors say that it is working on a new headset that will specifically use this connector. Then there is a prototype that uses wireless charging technology, one of the most anticipated features for iPhone users. This type of charging system is already available on a multitude of other mobile phones.
Additionally, there's another idea that it will feature "multi-touch Force Touch," which is likely to be an advanced version of 3D Touch and will allow you to access different options when you use more than one finger on the touchscreen. Using one finger will give you one set of options, two fingers another set of options, and so on.
Last but not least, there is the option that could really bring a significant change in terms of the iPhone 7 design. Apple is said to be working on a different concept that would replace the Touch ID sensor, which is built into the home button, with a fingerprint recognition system. This would help to completely replace the home button.
Removing the bezel could significantly improve the design of the upcoming iPhone and adjust the dimensions to make it easier to carry, especially in the case of the Plus version, so removing the home button could help this purpose.
Of course, Apple will have to verify all of this first, and if it does, the iPhone 7 will definitely be a success.
