Android users are more “loyal” than iOS users!

Android users appear more loyal and devoted to the platform with the green robot, compared to Apple "fanatics" who supposedly have one of their common characteristics is their loyalty. Perhaps we should now talk about this in the past tense, as according to a recent survey, Android users surpass the former Apple fanatics in loyalty.android-iOS

Research firm Consumer Research Partners ( CIRP ) announced that between June 2013 and June 2015, 82% of Android users were still stuck with an Android device when it came time to buy a new one.

iOS users who chose a device from Apple's garden again were not far from first place, collecting 78% . The data used in the research was based on quarterly studies conducted in collaboration with 4,000 citizens of the United States.

While Android and iOS are at the top, other operating systems are not having the same encouraging results. Blackberry , for example, managed to retain only 4% of its users before they switched to other operating systems. Windows Phone managed to retain 19% , but with the recent release of Windows 10 Mobile , the situation may improve soon.

The study argues that the dynamic of user participation in switching from Android to iOS is not fully understood. Traditionally, we know that Apple products maintain consumer trust and loyalty to the "bitten apple", while users of the green robot are usually more willing to take the big step. On the other hand, during the recent July earnings call, CEO Tim Cook  presents a different picture. He claims that Apple recorded the highest switch rate of all time from Android to iOS in the three months to June 27.

CIRP n't say anything about the reasons why users might want to switch from one platform to another in its report, but it does analyze whether the choice to switch is an important aspect to consider in the equation.

The research firm reports that 79% of previous Android users would continue to use the platform, even when seeking the services of a new carrier, while only 51% of iOS users would stay on the same platform, after finding a new service provider.
