Planned Parenthood Hacked – An anti-abortion group claims responsibility for the Planned Parenthood hack
The leader of the hacktivist group, Mr. E, claims responsibility, as he told the Daily Dot that the group gained access to data such as employee email addresses by hacking into Planned Parenthood's databases on Sunday night. The group intends to release all the information as soon as possible, as stated by Mr. E..
The hack was motivated by doctored videos that surfaced this month, which appeared to show group leaders discussing the sale of aborted fetus tissue to tissue donation programs.
“To try to present something monstrous as socially acceptable is disgusting,” Mr. E said, among other things. “Obviously this [Planned Parenthood] is following sinister practices. It will be interesting to watch the public’s reactions when this [Planned Parenthood] is exposed and exposed to the public.”
Ms. Dawn Laguens, the head of Planned Parenthood, told CNN, among other things, that the organization is investigating the violation.
“ extremists will do anything to prevent women from accessing the services they seek,” he said. “The extremists have broken laws, harassed our doctors and patients, produced the hack videos, and now claim to have committed an unspecified invasion of our privacy – which if true, could put all members of the organization at risk.”
Planned Parenthood CIO Tom Subak said the organization was not aware of the breach—because the security system never experienced a problem.
"Every organization has people who are against it, and now these people have the means and the intent to disrupt our work and steal our data," said Mr. Mike Hamilton.
