WhatsApp Messenger Upgraded to BlackBerry Beta Zone with Bug Fixes
There has been a recent report of Microsoft's update for the Skype app for BlackBerry 10, and now another major app has been updated due to some issues that have been causing problems and complaints among users in recent weeks.
WhatsApp Messenger is one of the applications that is strange to have on a BlackBerry Smartphone since the Canadian company has its own messenger app, BBM (BlackBerry Messenger).
BlackBerry Messenger is available on all major platforms, including Android and iOS, so there's no reason to use WhatsApp unless your friends are using it too.
However, it's good to know that the team behind the popular messenger still supports BlackBerrys. The latest update from the WhatsApp team is only available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone.

This means that the beta version of WhatsApp has been updated, and not the regular version available on BlackBerry World. The good news is that the latest update contains an official changelog, so we are able to know the changes it brings.
Primarily, it appears that this is a bug fixing update, so it does not accept any other new features or changes to be implemented in this beta version.
According to the developers, the update should enable WhatsApp to support Facebook contacts from the address book. This should solve a large part of the problem of lost contacts that OS 10.3.2 users have been complaining about.
Additionally, another issue with missed incoming calls sometimes not appearing has been fixed.
The developers also confirm that they have fixed an issue with the first message in a conversation taking a long time to appear after it was sent. Last but not least, various fixes and improvements have also been included.
