Cisco is announcing new security solutions for the Internet of Everything, and new solutions to integrate security across the entire network, from the data center to the endpoint and cloud, for pervasive visibility and control of online threats.
By embedding security everywhere, enterprises and service providers now have the comprehensive, threat-focused security necessary to address the dynamic nature of threats and capitalize on the business opportunities created by the evolving digital economy and the Internet of Everything [IoE]. The IoE market is expected to be worth $19.0 trillion over the next decade and represents a $1.7 trillion opportunity for service providers.
Security Everywhere for Businesses and Service Providers
To minimize the complexity of security management and increase threat visibility across enterprise and service provider infrastructures, CISCO is integrating security across the entire network. It adds more sensors to improve visibility, more control points, and pervasive, advanced threat protection to reduce detection and response time, limiting the impact of attacks. With security everywhere, CISCO delivers scalable threat protection that covers the broadest spectrum before, during, and after an attack.
Internet security solutions
Endpoints: CISCO AnyConnect Featuring Cisco AMP for Endpoints: Customers using the CISCO AnyConnect 4.1 VPN client can easily deploy and significantly expand threat protection.
Campus and Branch: FirePOWER Services solutions for CISCO Integrated Services Routers [ISR] provide centrally managed Next-Generation Intrusion Prevention System [NGIPS] and Advanced Malware Protection [AMP] to branch offices, where there are no security devices integrated into the corporate network.
Network as a Sensor and Enforcer: CISCO has integrated multi-layered security technologies into the network fabric to provide complete visibility and control: Deeper integration between Identity Services Engine [ISE] and Lancope StealthWatch:
Enterprises can go beyond simple IP address mapping to identify threats by leveraging ISE context about who, what, where, when, and how users and devices connect to and access the corporate network and data.
NetFlow on CISCO UCS: By extending Cisco network capabilitiesto physical and virtual servers, customers now have the ability to gain greater control and gather information about potential threats.
With new security capabilities, Cisco networks have the ability to implement security policies automatically. Customers can group applications and users across the network and organization and set security policies accordingly.
