Facebook Alert: New virus spreads via video link
What users should watch out for
The specific virus is camouflaged inside a file that is assumed to contain video. The “infection» occurs when …the user receives a notification from a friend that they have been added to a post with video and clicks on the video link. Also, again via video, which this time you send to the user's inbox.
If you receive the message in question, do not open it, but delete it directly.
It is also very important, if the user gets infected,
- to change Facebook passwords ,
- to clear the temporary cache of all browsers on the computer (history, cookies, temporary files) and
- to update the protection version or to check that it is up to date.
