Shock: Unknowns were watching their baby via nanny cam!

nanny cam

An unfortunate Minnesota family fell victim to hacking when they discovered that the nanny cam they had installed to check on baby had been "hacked" to be monitored and controlled by strangers overseas! The camera was even playing mysterious melodies when they were not in the room.

The anonymous family learned of the hack when they heard mysterious music coming from the baby's room, but the sound would stop when someone entered the room. They also noticed that the nanny cam had been repositioned so that it faced the wall.

After a thorough investigation, the family identified an unknown IP address embedded in the nanny cam that could be traced back to Amsterdam. A website associated with their address led them to the shocking discovery of thousands of live feeds being received from various homes around the world!

There were at least 15 different countries listed, and it wasn't just baby rooms but also living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, etc., every space that a person might consider sacred and protected, as the baby's shocked mother informs us.

The name of the website hosting this content has not yet been discovered, but the similarity of the case to a Russian website that recently published live feeds from security cameras to "raise awareness" about password security is noted. This "warning" follows similar privacy-violating tactics, including a case where a hacker used a nanny cam to abuse a young child while he was sleeping!

Regardless of the motive, this chilling discovery highlights the necessity of security on all internet-connected cameras in your home
